I got some fresh pastries today and wondered, what should go well with it? A cheesy dip would go perfectly with this. What type of cheesy dip to use was the next stage. I thought a spinach and gorgonzola dip would be perfect, and everyone enjoys a sure-fire mix of the two. I decided to experiment at home since I believed it would be simple to make and found the ideal recipe by Pepper on YouTube that claims to be the perfect copycat of a Cibo dip. Take a go at it yourself! You don’t have to spend a lot of time making it, and it tastes practically precisely the same as the original.
Ingredients:
Materials/Equipment:
Directions:
On a heated pan, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Use a spatula to help it dissolve. Add blanched spinach and sauté with butter. Add cream and water and mix. Let it boil for about 2 minutes. Drop the gorgonzola slices, mozzarella, cane vinegar, garlic powder, and salt to taste. Combined the mixture well.
Switch off the heat and transfer it to a food processor. Blend the mixture for 2 minutes until it reaches a paste-like texture. When done, transfer into ramekin containers and then top with more mozzarella cheese; Add as much as you like! In the oven, bake for 5 – 7 minutes or until cheese is melted. Carefully, take out the oven and let it sit.
Finally, dip in your favorite pastry or bread treats and enjoy every savory bite! If you have some left, you can put it in a container and store in the fridge for the next day. Or better yet, why don’t you share it with your friends or officemates during snack time? I’m sure they would be surprised you were able to make such a delicious copycat Cibo cheesy spinach dip!
