Sometimes it’s a bit daunting to see leftovers from last night’s festivities when you open your fridge. The best thing to do is really do make something out of them. But you wonder how would I come up with a dish that would still dazzle my remaining guests who stayed overnight after a night of merrymaking of drinks and all that jazz? Homecooking with Judy on Youtube provides you with the right recipe for a turkey pot pie that would surely make use of your leftovers and then some.
Ingredients:
Directions
Before you begin, make sure to preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil, then add garlic and onion. After a minute, add the carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, and celery and continue to sauté until the onions are tender. Add the flour and mix/scrape the bottom of the pan with a spatula until the flour is lightly browned, then pour in the chicken broth as well as milk.
Using a spatula, stir until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then add the turkey and green peas. Fill a 9×9 casserole dish halfway with the mixture.
Cover with dough and seal around the edges. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
