#2 Cutting Fabric

Cutting fabric into strips and sizing them down is a total game changer.

#3 Pin

Pinning after you’ve cut your fabric on the edge of your fabric so you don’t have to square it up again.

#4 Guide Foot

A quarter-inch guide foot on the machine will help you with your piecing and will make sure that you’re getting an accurate quarter-inch seam.

#5 Gray Thread

Light gray thread is much more unnoticeable compare to a white thread.

#6 Chain Piece

Chain-piecing and feeding things through your machine will make quilting much faster.

#7 Seam Ripper

Learning how to lock your seams together will help you with your piecing and will make things so much more efficient in getting your projects done.

#8 Pressing

Press to the dark sides so it won’t show through on your finished project.

#9 Starch

Using a bit of starch will help your piece go together, especially when you have those little pieces that are being difficult. It will also help things to lay flatter.
