#1 Remove the Unnecessary

Clutter starts when you have too much stuff in one small space and this usually happens in your kitchen. First, start organizing your kitchen stuff by removing everything from the cabinets and drawers. Second, relocate everything that doesn’t belong in the kitchen.

#2 Find a Home for Everything

Now, after removing all the stuff from the cabinets and drawers, start finding proper space for them all. This is a vital step toward any home re-organization.

#3 Overcome the “Counter is Convenient” Mentality

Leaving things out in the open because you think it’s more convenient when in reality – it doesn’t. Doing this makes extra work actually because you have to move them every time you clean, and they take up space when you’re trying to cook.

#4 Store Daily Use Appliances Out of Sight

Leaving things out in the open, including your daily use appliances, starts the clutter in your kitchen. These appliances sit out on your counter way more than you use them. For example, you would only use a toaster for, let’s say, three minutes, then it will just sit for the rest of the day.

#5 Finish Jobs

Put things away when you’re done, wash plates right away, and don’t leave out things out on your countertops. Lastly, reset your kitchen every single evening.
