This is the cheater’s style because it’s not homemade, but it’s made with 4 ingredients for those that want a quick and easy crockpot chili recipe. KatieG8tor on YouTube shows how to dump all of the ingredients in the crockpot and let it cook on its own for a couple of hours. This can be a base to start off this recipe because you can substitute or find other alternatives to add to the recipe. There are many people out there who just like meat and beans for their chili. Personally, I would add onions, peppers, and other vegetables to have a blend to make it chunky. Chili is made up of simple ingredients so this 4-ingredient crockpot is a budget-friendly meal that makes a lot to have for leftovers. I love having chili once the weather starts getting cold outside. It’s one of those comfort foods to have and keep you warm.

Ingredients:

  • ground beef
  • 5 cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 cans kidney beans
  • 2 packs of chili mix

Directions:

First, cook the meat on the stove until it is brown.

Next, once the meat is cooking add the canned tomatoes, beans, and chili seasoning mix to the crockpot. Add the cooked meat to the crockpot and let it cook on low for the rest of the day.

There are many ways to serve chili such as with shredded cheese on tops or greens to garnish. I love my chili with fresh jalapeños and cilantro. Growing up, my dad would always buy corn chips to scoop up some chili too. I love adding chips to chili because it gives a crunch factor to the dish and it complements it well. Chili is a filling dish to have and dipping a piece of bread is one of my favorites too.
