This brown sugar toast recipe by yumyum cooking is so simple and honestly one of the easiest things to make. It requires only 3 ingredients that you most likely will have in your refrigerator. This can be made as a midday snack or a breakfast meal. I love how you can use this as a base recipe and add things to make it more complex. For example, I would top this brown sugar toast with strawberries or whipped cream. I might add less sugar butter paste and create a sweet french toast. The options and variations with this recipe can be endless and explore it. You can use healthier alternatives such as whole wheat bread or sprouted bread. I’ve made this before when I was younger and it’s surprisingly great. At the time, I was hungry and was not able to use or reach the stove, so I would toast my bread, butter it, and sprinkle a little sugar on top. It was a method that I used because I didn’t want to wash any dishes, and I was too young.

This brown toast recipe reminds me of my childhood oddly because I wanted something sweet and worked with ingredients that my parents had lying around the kitchen. It’s a fast snack and you can make them really easily. I haven’t made one of these in so long, so I need to revisit this toast recipe.
