There’s something really special about having a touch of farmhouse decor in your home, even if a lot of your decor isn’t rustic. There’s just something warm and inviting about these pieces and that’s exactly the feeling I get when I see it in a home.

If you’re like me you love a good rustic, farmhouse project.  Since farmhouse decor can be expensive  I’ve learned to DIY some of things I would like. Like figuring out  how to make a chicken wire frame myself. Of course I had this great tutorial to help!

It makes the perfect backdrop for a wreath, don’t you think? I really love the timeless farmhouse feel of the weathered wood and chicken wire. Since I have tons of extra wood and pallet wood in the garage I decided to use what I had, to not spend tons of money on this project.

I really wanted to have that rustic look so I decided to go with the pallet wood to put the chicken wire on. I picked up the boxwood stems at Michaels to make the wreath and used my 40% off coupon and they had 20% off of everything so I made out like a bandit!

Watch how Matt and Amber (Plus 3) does this great DIY project in their step by step tutorial! This only cost them $13 to make!
