When I found this awesome video tutorial by Create With Claudia, on YouTube, I was so excited to be able to make my own bias tape. I really don’t mind buying bias tape, but the color choices are always very limited. Being able to make my own bias tape made it possible to add an extra layer of contrasting detail to all of my sewing projects. There are some really ingenious ways of making bias tape that I have never thought of, like using card stock to mold it then ironing the feed down as you go. Perhaps the most interesting bias tape-making hack was the idea of using a hair clip. Yes, people and an ordinary barrette-style hair clip can make custom bias tape!

There are several ways we can make bias tape the first and most widely used is the little bias tape maker. These bias tape makers are very inexpensive and can be found in various sizes at any fabric store or online.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
