There are a ton of different patterns you can make with one triangle block. You can make a quilt, table runner, and even a centerpiece mat. It is a fun and great way to use your whole pile!

Cut the square cardboard at a 60-degree angle. Line the slanted side on the bottom ruler, then cut it again at a 60-degree angle. Use this triangle as a template.
Cut several triangles on your fabric scraps using the template.
Sew 1 1/2″ strips around the triangle with 1″ allowance on both sides. Cut the excess. See the photo below for reference. Get another strip and sew around the first border with a 1″ allowance on both sides. Press it flat. Trim into a triangle.
Repeat the process with the other triangles.
There are several ways you can arrange the triangles.
You can make a table runner by arranging the triangles in a long rectangular shape or a placemat by arranging 5 triangles together to make a hexagon. Sew the backing and batting. Quilt and enjoy.
