#1 Hand Sanitizer

Take a little of your hand sanitizer, put it in the frozen car lock as well as on the key, then insert it and unlock it.

#2 Potato (or Onion)

Cut the potato in half, then rub it on your windshield outside. Make sure to cover the whole area. This will prevent the ice from adhering to the window.

#3 Cellphone

Make sure to keep your phone close to you all the time. Your body heat will keep it warm. Best if you turn it off and just turn it back inside because turning it on in the cold weather will drain all its battery out.

#4 Icy Surface

Take a teaspoon of dish soap and a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol. Pour them into a large bucket, then add a gallon of hot water. Now, take the mixture outside and pour it over the icy surface.

#5 Rice

Take some rice and put it in a cotton sock. Microwave it for about a minute. Now, you can put it in your boots, jacket, or around your neck to keep you warm and toasty.

#6 Stocking Up Your Pantry

If you’re preparing for a power outage, it’s best to stock up with canned fish tuna/salmon, peanut butter, crackers, cereal, oatmeal, whole grains, lentils, and beans. You can whip up a full hearty meal to keep you nourished and warm with these.
