As soon as I saw this beautiful pattern, I knew it will be my next sewing project. I love how the light fabric contrast against the dark fabric. It may look complex, but it’s actually not. It’s very easy to make, just follow these simple steps. Here’s the patchwork pillowcase tutorial by Shveyniy ugolok s Ludmiloy Zardinovoy on Youtube. Watch the video below for the full instructions.

Get one dark-colored and one light-colored square and place them right sides together. Sew them all away around with a 0.4-inch seam allowance. Do the same for the remaining pieces.
Place on a flat surface and cut it diagonally from one corner to the other. Cut it again in the opposite direction to create 4 triangles. Do the same process for the 3 squares. Press the seams open then set them aside.
Get one light-colored and one dark-colored 5.9″ square and place them right sides together. Draw an X by creating diagonal lines from one corner to another. Then draw horizontal and vertical lines in the middle to create a cross. Secure each line with pins. Sew 0.4 inches away from both sides of the lines. Do the same for the remaining 5.9″ squares. Once done, cut along the lines. Once done, press the seams open and trim odd excess fabrics.
Arrange them into this pattern then sew them together.
Once done, arrange the bigger squares around in this pattern. Sew all the blocks together. Cut into a 15.35″ square. Sew the two 15.35″ x 1.97″ strips on the sides then the two remaining strips on the top and bottom.
