Ingredients:

  • 6 pieces of boneless and skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1 orange, zested
  • ¼ cup of rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes

Directions:

Step 1

Prepare a large mixing bowl, then add the orange juice, orange zest, rice vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Give them a good whisk until they are well combined and incorporated. Place the chicken thighs in the sauce mixture, then pop it in the refrigerator, and leave it to marinate for about 2 hours.

Step 2

Place a cast-iron skillet pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then pour the chicken thighs including all of the sauce directly into the hot skillet. Let this bubble and cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees or for about 15 to 20 minutes. Flip the chicken every 5 minutes to let it cook on both sides evenly. The sauce will reduce and thicken as it cooks, then it will turn into a nice brown glaze.
