In building your block, look at the white square to know where to go. Once laid out, stitch with a 1/4″ seam, chain piece, and keep going. Press according to your pattern. After it got assembled, you’ll have your print block. Make 36 of these blocks. Moving on to the solid block, lay them out while paying attention to where the print goes. Stitch with a 1/4″ seam, chain piece, then press.
