A clean bathroom not only looks aesthetically pleasing but is also hygienic! So be sure to keep your bathroom clutter-free, smelling good, and rid of any unwanted buildups. Learn the rules that you should follow for a cleaner bathroom through this video tutorial by Clean My Space on YouTube.
Tip#1: Clean little messes immediately
Manage your little messes as soon as you see them in order to have a fresher bathroom. These could be splatters of toothpaste or soap that you’ve pumped too much around your sink or mirror. Quickly rinse them to avoid buildups, also keep in mind to wipe away any makeup residue and strands of hair that might be lying around the sink from brushing, rinse and wipe the sink dry.

Tip#2: Keep a cleaning kit closeby
Encourage yourself to do touchup cleans between bigger cleans. Your kit should consist of a microfiber cloth, all-purpose cleaner spray, some baking soda, and an old toothbrush, these materials could help you with any quick cleaning that you might need.
Tip#3: DIY toilet bowl cleaner
Here’s a tried and tested recipe for a DIY toilet bowl cleaner that is cheaper than store-bought ones. Find a good quality squeeze bottle, then mix together ½ cup of baking soda, ½ cup of water, ¼ hydrogen peroxide, 1¼ cup of dish soap, and 15 drops of tea tree oil. Shake the squeeze bottle around making sure to cover the top to prevent spills. Use it to clean your toilet bowl, scrub it well, then flush.
Tip#4: Keep it “guest ready”
Always keep in mind what a guest might think if they see your bathroom. It helps a lot as it gives you the motivation to keep your bathroom clean and also decide how organized and clean should you keep it. Clean it as though someone would always come over.
Tip#5: Clean your toilet brush
Since your toilet brush does all the dirty work and at the same time keep your toilet bowl clean, it’s only appropriate to keep the brush itself clean as well so that it can do its job better. If the brush only needs regular cleaning, then just spray it with a disinfectant, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes up to a couple of hours or however long you think it might need. Clean the toilet bowl brush container as well, then wipe it dry with a paper towel. After letting the toilet bowl brush sit for a few minutes, rinse it under hot water, and allow it to drip dry.
