Cut out the rose prints from the rose fabric.

Place the cutout rose prints on another flower fabric and cut a slight wave around them as seen in the photo.

Place both fabrics on top of another flowery fabric and cut slight waves around the fabric, but this time with a broader space, as seen in the photo.

Place the 3 stacked flower fabrics on top of another flowery fabric and cut a light wave around the stacked fabrics. The 4th layer should be approximately 5.50″ x 6″.

For the leaf construction, cut out leaves from green fabric with an approximate size of 2.5″ x 1.25″. Place the leaves facing across each other under the 4 layers beside each other. Be as creative as you can. Repeat the process with how many flowers you want to make. Make sure to alternate contrast colors for a more excellent pattern design.

In the tutorial, 27 roses are made altogether.

Cut out two 9.50″ block squares and an 8.50″ block square of the batting fabric. Place the 8.50″ block in the center and pin it in place.  Place the rose fabric in the center of the batting fabric. Sew the whole fabric in a free sewing motion. Make sure to leave at least ½” around the outside of the square edge. Repeat the process with the other rose-cut fabrics and stack them together.

Ready 6 rectangle side blocks in 6″ x 9.50″ measurements and 5.50″ x 9.50″ batting cutouts. Lay all the rose blocks on a large surface and take a picture for reference. Make sure the seams are exposed and pin them in place. Sew each block together and neatly press them with the iron as you go.

For the borders, pin in the prepared 6 rectangle block battings. Sew altogether. Cut 1 1/8″ strips for the bindings with the left-over flowery fabrics. Sew the fabric strips together and pin them around the edges of the whole project.
