Slice the limes in half and juice them. You need about 1 and 1/4 cups of lime juice. Make sure to remove any seeds. Thinly slice some and set aside for garnish later.
Add all the lime juice and 1 1/4 cups of granulated sugar to a small pot. Mix until well combined. Place it overheat and continuously mix until the sugar is melted and it becomes like syrup.
Pour the lime-sugar mixture into your pitcher and add the maraschino cherries including the juice. Make sure to set aside a few pieces of cherries for garnish.
Add two liters of lemon-lime soda into your large pitcher. Let it settle down for a little bit as it may overflow if you stir it immediately. Be careful when stirring.
Add 1/2 cup of cherry juice to the mixture. This is optional, but this will make the cherry flavor stand out. Stir until well combined.
Pour into glasses with ice cubes. Garnish with peppermint, lime slices, and a piece of cherry. Enjoy!
