You never know when a power outage will happen or when you might need an emergency stove, that’s why it’s better to get yourself prepared for these kinds of unwanted situations. No need to worry about having to spend a lot of money because this DIY project is made out of recycled materials and a few supplies that you may already have available in your home. What makes this project even better than it already is, is that not only can you use this to stay warm in the cold but you can also use this effectively for cooking. Learn how to easily build this dual-purpose heater and stove with the written step-by-step instructions down below and watch this video tutorial by desertsun02 on YouTube as well.
Step 1
Put the smaller can inside the large can, then insert a funnel in between the two cans, and fill the large can all around with dirt until almost at the rim. Insert a few cotton balls inside the smaller can, then pour a lot of alcohol until the cotton balls are covered and soaked, and then light it up.

Step 2
Place a large can upside down on each side of the can stove, then put the pan on top making sure it is stable, and start cooking whatever it is that you want to cook. If you want to cook eggs, then it will take about 2 minutes, and once done simply blow air into the fire to put it out.
