Materials:

• zipper
• cotton fabric
• thin thermo-adhesive batting

Instructions:

Step 1:

Make 4 pieces of cotton strips from a patterned fabric scrap and 3 pieces more from a plain fabric, measuring 27. 5 inches by 2.4 inches.

Step 2:

Get one plain cotton strip and place the patterned fabric on top with the right side down. Sew the top edge with a seam allowance of 0.3 inches. Step 7:

Place the zipper teeth on the right side of the fabric on the middle edge and secure using pins. Measure 0.6 inches from both ends of the zipper and mark. Sew the zipper on the quilted fabric from the first mark to another. Now place the cotton fabric on top and sew the other side of the zipper into it. Finish the seam on the cotton and quilted fabrics. Do a backstitching on the edges of the zipper teeth.
