How to Make Paper Tulips

Learn how to make paper tulips using crepe paper with this easy step-by-step tutorial. The pieces of paper are labeled with letters. See materials below for the measurements.

  1. Take the A piece and fold it in half. Cut the top just as shown below. Open it and stretch the middle part of the paper.

  2. Wrap the chocolate or candy in the crepe paper and tape it in place. Add hot glue to the end of the skewer, then insert it into the crepe paper. Twist the bottom part and glue it securely if needed.

  3. Take one B piece. Gather the middle, twist, then fold it in half at the twist. Using your thumbs, gently stretch the middle part to create the petal. Repeat for the remaining pieces. Make 6.

  4. Glue the two petals together for each piece.

  5. Glue three petals around the chocolate so they overlap and hide the candy. Next, glue the remaining three petals in the gaps between the petals of the first layer.

  6. Take a C piece, fold it in half, and cut the top part to a point. Unfold it, then gently stretch the crepe paper.

  8. Glue the leaves to the base of the paper tulip.

  • B – 6 pieces of 7″ x 1″ pink crepe paper (18 cm x 2.5 cm)
  • C – 2 pieces of 5.5″ x 1″ green crepe paper (14 cm x 2.5 cm)
  • D – 2 pieces of 3.9″ x 0.8″ green crepe paper (10 cm x 2 cm)
  • E – 1 piece of 9.8″ x 0.8″ green crepe paper (25 cm x 2 cm)
