This shortcut quilt from Fat Quarter Shop on Youtube is the most adorable baby gift ever! This quilt project uses mini charm packs, and it’s the cutest thing – simple, quick, and easy. Trust me; this will brighten up any nursery room. Make this today by watching the video tutorial below.
Pick four random colors from the charm pack and put them all together with a 1/4″ seam. Make 21 pieces of these. For the second unit, get a fabric C and put it on top and two fabric A’s at the bottom. Sew them together with a 1/4″ seam. Make 20 of these units. For the last unit, take a fabric A square, a fabric D background square on the bottom of fabric A, and a fabric C rectangle on the side. Put these together with a 1/4″ seam. Make 16 of these units.

Now, lay out your fabric B’s on the corners, a four patch in the center, and a middle unit on each outside. Make sure that your two patches touch your four patches. Pin all of these together, sew with a 1/4″ seam, then add the next row. Sew again with a 1/4″ seam, press open, then sew your final block together. Make five of these blocks. Your second block in the quilt has four four-patches around fabric B in the center and four colored units where the colored piece is on the outside. Sew them together and make four of these blocks. Alternate the blocks for your layout and you’re going to make three rows with three blocks in each and sew them all together for your quilt center.
