Chili, on the other hand, can be made from different vegetables, chicken, and turkey. It is super easy to prepare on the stovetop!

To make chili corn carne at home, you will need beef, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, cinnamon, tomatoes, kidney beans and beef cube stock. It is a spicy stew, but you can definitely adjust the spiciness according to your preference. You can use mild chili powder if you want it to be less spicy. It is best paired with freshly cooked white rice, cornbread, nachos, baked potatoes, and refried beans. You can even serve it with red wine!

Easy Chili Corn Carne Recipe

  • 1.1 lb of minced beef
  • 1 onion  (finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 14.1 oz of chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
  • 1 can of kidney beans (washed and drained)
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • hot water

How to Make Chili Corn Carne

Step 1:

Place a pot over medium to high heat and add oil, chopped onion, and chopped garlic. Fry for about 5 minutes.

Step 2:

Add 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and the ground beef. Cook while stirring constantly until the beef has browned.

Step 3:

Once cooked, add the chopped tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of tomato puree, 1 teaspoon of oregano, salt, and crumbled beef stock. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 4:

Add some hot water and stir. Let it come to a simmer over low heat with the lid on for 20 minutes.

Step 5:

After 20 minutes, add the kidney beans. Mix and simmer again for another 10 minutes without the lid.

Step 6:

After 10 minutes, stir it well, and place the lid back. Remove from heat and let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
