Materials:

  • used/leftover dryer sheets
  • desired fabric shape
  • background square fabric
  • sewing machine
  • scissors
  • iron, for pressing

Directions:

Step 1

Place the shape on top of the dryer sheet, then sew a scant, eight of an inch around, then trim the excess dryer sheet. After this, trim both the pointed corners, then slit the back and turn it inside out. Press it afterward. Once done, place the shape, dryer sheet down, onto the background square fabric and pin to secure.

Step 2

After this, do a blanket stitch to sew the shape down (make sure to stitch very close to the edge.) Remove the pin after sewing and your block is complete and ready to go into your quilt.

I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
