When it comes to cleaning the house, one task that I dread the most is sweeping the floor, because no matter how hard I try, dust particles and hair still go flying around and kept on sliding back to the floor, and I have to go sweep several times to make sure that there are no more dirt and hair left on the floor when I’m done. Vacuum cleaning will definitely make it easier but there was a time when I don’t own one and I wished that there could be a solution to make sweeping easier and more effective. That’s why when I saw this video tutorial by Smart Fox on YouTube, I immediately thought of sharing it with you thinking that some of you might still be in a situation where this hack would help change your cleaning routine for the better. This technique only requires a tape and you won’t even need a dustpan to catch and collect all of the dirt and hair because the tape will do it for you.

Materials:

  • Broom
  • Double-sided tape

Cut a piece of double-sided tape, then stick along the bottom of the bristles making sure it’s close but not touching the floor, and then start sweeping as usual. This will allow the dirt to be stuck on the tape as well as the hair and dust that usually flies around as you sweep, then once the tape is filled, peel it off the broom, and throw it away in the trash. Replace the tape as needed and throw it away when it’s not picking up as much dirt anymore.
