Done with your last sewing craft and have nothing else to do? Here’s a creative project you can try this week using the fabric scraps and CDs lying around your house. It’s a great way to repurpose these materials instead of throwing them in the trash. This lovely tutorial on how to make a jewelry box using CDs is by Miarti – Reuse on youtube. Watch the video below for the full instructions.

Make a circle on the cloth using the pattern then cut it. Once cut fold in half and mark the center for both sides. Fold in quarters and mark. Then open it up.
Using a CD or round flat object, mark a circle on the center of the cloth. Then make a horizontal and vertical line passing in the middle. Then create 2 diagonal lines in each quarter, making 12 equal shapes.
Get another cloth and place the patterned circle on top. Sew them together by following the lines.
Cut the excess fabric and put fillers inside. Then sew the edges making a round fluffy organizer.
Get another inner fabric. Using a plate make a round shape, then cut it. Place the CD in the middle and sew the edges together fully enclosing the CD. Create another one but use the outer fabric.
Get a strip of the inner fabric and sew on the top edges of the organizer. Now cut a 3.6-inch diameter circle using the inner fabric. Enclose the edges together and put fillers inside making a round ball. Then attach it to the top lid. This will be the cover of the organizer.
