There are three versions of this quilt pattern, and today, I am sharing the jelly roll race 3.0. The only difference between this version and the first one is the triangles between each strip. It’s the perfect last-minute quilt idea.

Note: the size of the quilt is 70 by 75 inches.
Open your pack of jelly rolls and lay them flat on your work surface.
Get two jelly roll strips and stack them together. Cut the selvage edge. Repeat with all the remaining strips.
Cut four 2 1/2″ by the width of the fabric from your background fabric, then cut 10 pieces of 2 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Take the strip that you are working with. Get one 2 1/2″ x 4″ strip and place it on the end of your working strip. Place it on top vertically so that the bottom of the rectangle is even with the bottom of the strip. Sew vertically from the outer corner into the bottom. You can fold it over to make a crease line and use that as a guide.
Trim off the extra fabric and iron it flat.
Take the next strip. Place one end on top of your working strip vertically, right sides together, to make a 90-degree angle. Make sure the top is aligned. Sew vertically from the inside top to the bottom outside corner. You can also fold the end vertically to make a crease and use it as a sewing line. Trim the side off and press it flat. Do this to every one of your strips.
Once you get all your strips sewn together, cut 18 inches off and then put the last strip with your first strip. You’ll go all the way down until you find the other end. Put them right sides together and sew a 1/4″ seam allowance. Keep on sewing your jelly roll up until the end. Once done, cut the little strip in half, and then you are going to bring the last part up and put it with the other end. Sew it again.
