Jamie Oliver’s one pan greens pasta bake will be your go-to macaroni recipe once you try it. I saw this recipe on Tesco‘s YouTube channel, and I was blown away by the idea that the star of this dish is the greens. I have never had anything like this before. The closest dish I had was this Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Pasta, which is somehow different since it doesn’t have a topping.

This recipe is packed with savoy cabbages, spring onions, and spinach. Savoy cabbages are milder and sweeter than the green cabbages.
The sauce is so creamy and cheesy, and the topping is crunchy, which adds a nice texture to each bite. I bet even picky eaters will love this easy dinner recipe! Try this recipe next time. Here’s another dish for you to try: Creamy Shrimp Scampi Pasta Recipe
For the topping:
Break the cabbage. Remove the stalk for each leaf and rinse. Stack them, roll them, then thinly slice them. Chop into smaller pieces.
Place a skillet over heat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil, then toss in the garlic. Once it takes a little bit of the heat, add the spring onions. Cook for a few seconds, then toss in the cabbage. Mix well. Pour a little bit of water, then let it steam. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
Mix in 2 tablespoons of plain flour. Cook for a few seconds while continuously stirring. Next, gradually pour the milk, then add the mustard. Let it thicken.
Pour the boiling water and let it come to a simmer.
Add the spinach and cook for 5 minutes. Mix in the grated cheese and lower the heat, then add the macaroni and mix well.
Make the topping. Mix the breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, and a little bit of olive oil in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Sprinkle the topping over the macaroni. Add more grated cheese on top.
Place the pan inside a 350F oven and bake for 35 minutes.
