You need to measure the amount of wrapping paper you need. Lay your wrapping flat on a table. Place the box against the edge, then rotate your box three times. Give it a few inches in excess and make the cut.
Fold a square out of the paper. Now, make another cut just with a little excess.
Place your box upside down in the center at an angle. Pull up the corner near you till it covers the opposite edge of the box and meets up with both corners. Once it’s measured out, lay it down.
Take the opposite corner of the paper and pull it up. Hold it in place.
Move to the bottom side of that triangle. Make a crease line on the inside edge of the box straight up. It will be the line that meets the outside edge of the box. Pull that side of the wrapping paper towards the side of the box to cover it. Set the crease. Hold all of that in place.
Do the same thing for the other side.
You should now have a nice pocket. On the last side, make the creases, tuck in the sides, and pull the paper up and over. Tuck the flap into the little pocket. Tuck in as much of that flap as you can. Crease it to seal.
