Is the blade of your blender (or smoothie maker) becoming dull? Try this trick from Smart Fox on YouTube! I’ve been in the same situation months ago, and I almost threw out the blade of my blender. I didn’t know then that there was a way to sharpen the blade of my blender in the comforts of my home. I was so lucky I’ve stumbled upon this trick. Now; I’ve been doing this whenever I feel like my blender’s blade is getting dull.

For this trick, all you need are eggshells and some water. I can’t believe it at first, but eggshells work like magic. It’s also so quick and easy to do, you don’t even need 30 minutes to do this. It’s a simple but very effective trick for you to try in your home. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step by step instructions.

What You’ll Need:

  • eggshells
  • blender
  • water

Directions:

Step 1

To start, crack several eggs and set aside the whites and yolks for later use. (Or you can just collect eggshells whenever you crack eggs before doing this trick.) Once you have enough, it’s time to try this method.

Step 2

Grab your eggshells and throw them inside your blender or smoothie maker (eight eggshells should be enough). Next, add enough water to submerge the eggshells. After this, put the lid on and start blitzing the them (let it run for about two minutes.)

Step 3

Once done, remove the eggshells along with the liquid and give your blender a good rinse. What this does is it makes the blades of your blender sharp again, thanks to the eggshells.
