Just in time for the summer season, this sewing project by OnlineFabricStore on YouTube will teach you how to make your own summer blouse easily! Using only one fabric and some basic sewing tools, you can make this pretty blouse with a zipper at the back. This step-by-step guide is easy to follow, even for beginners.
Step 1
Download the pattern, print it out, and cut accordingly. Place the center front pattern piece along the fold line, then pin together the pattern and fabric around. Place the back pattern in the center, then pin it in place, and cut out both fabrics using the pattern pieces as a guide, remove the pins. Unfold the front piece, then place the back pieces on top with their right sides facing each other and the shoulders, as well as the sides, lined up correctly, and pin them around in place. Measure 8″ down from the top of the back piece, then pin the back pieces together, and notch just before the opening. Sew it around with a ¼” seam allowance making sure not to stitch the first 8″ on the back seam.

Step 2
Next, sew the sides and shoulders with a ¾” seam allowance making sure to start about 1″ in and leave about 1″ at the end. Now, for the inner seams of the sides and shoulders, fold the fabric ¼” twice, then topstitch along the fold. Fold the inner seam of the back, then fold the seam over by 1/8″ twice, and topstitch. Fold the tank top to the right side, then proceed to work on the armhole. Fold the fabric of the armhole over by ½” twice, pin, then topstitch along the fold, and repeat with the other armhole. Make ½” notches along the curve of the neckline, then fold the edge over by ½” twice, pin, and stitch. Sew the zipper at the back, then fold the bottom of the tank top by ½” twice, pin, and stitch with a ½” seam allowance.
