Time for a fun and simple quilting project for sewing ladies out there! Put those old jeans to good use by repurposing them instead of throwing them away. Let SewVeryEasy via YouTube teach us how to turn old jeans into a warm reversible blanket with very easy steps and few materials.
Step 1
Cut the center of the jean’s legs apart to have a large flat piece, then cut 5-inch squares from the jeans to match the size of the charm pack which is also at 5 inches each. Get one fabric from the charm pack, then place dots of clear glue around the denim near the seams, place the charm pack fabric on top nicely. Press it with an iron to dry out the glue, then set it aside. Do this process randomly on the denim pieces. Start quilting by working on units of 4, mix the order of about 3 denim squares and 1 charm pack square.

Step 2
Overlap the fabrics to each other by ½”-¾”, glue them together, press with an iron, then stitch them with a double needle, you should end up with a double stitch in the front and a zigzag at the back. Trim if needed. Repeat the process until you’ve used up all the fabric pieces, you can also reverse and face the charm pack fabric at the back so that it can also have a pop of color just like the front. Once you’re done, give the blanket a good wash and you’ll see the raw edges at the back ends up frayed. Simply trim those excess loose threads away.
