  • ¼ cup (30g) of powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp (10ml) of vanilla extract

Directions:

Step 1

Put your mixing bowl in the freezer as it needs to be ice-cold, then put the cream and the beaters in the freezer as well for about 5 to 10 minutes, this will make the whipped cream form easier. Next, pour the heavy cream into the ice-cold bowl if you’re doing it by hand or into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment.

Step 2

Then, add the powdered sugar and vanilla or any flavoring you want, and whip them together over a high-speed setting for a few minutes making sure to keep an eye on it as it whips quickly. Do not over-whip the mixture or it’ll start to turn into butter and lose its curdled and silky texture. The cream is done when soft peaks are formed by as the whisk or beater is raised.
