I always think of my grandma when I see delicious homemade bread. When I saw this recipe for 1930’s style potato buns, I could just see her standing in the kitchen in her calico apron. Recipes that bring back these memories of yesteryear are by far my very favorite things to cook. These old fashioned potato buns are perfect in size and texture, and they would make an excellent choice for dinner rolls. These potato buns would also be great for any type of buffet and would make excellent sliders with a brisket or steak filling.

Glen & Friends Cooking will also show you his vintage cookbook, where the recipe came from, and shares some lovely anecdotal stories about the days of old. These recipes are designed for larger families than we have today and everyone in those days knew how to cook, so some obvious things were left out, like adding flour, lol. You were supposed to know that in those days. All of Glenn’s stories are absolutely delightful, and this video was so much fun to watch.
