My all-time favorite sewing personality on Youtube has to be Liz, of Making It With Liz, on YouTube. Liz is so down to Earth and really explains sewing in a way we can all easily understand.  I am always on the lookout for a new sewing idea, so when I saw this phenomenal pillowcase with an accent strip video sewing tutorial by Liz, on Youtube, I knew I needed to make it. As usual, Liz does not disappoint, she offers her tips and advice to make this beautiful quilt idea as easy as possible. I love sewing all year round, but making what will become family heirlooms at the beginning of spring is very important to me because spring is my favorite time of year. I love seeing a mix of bright colors reflected in all of my spring art projects. So I decided to get a fat quarter bundle in a beautiful spring-themed array of brightly colored florals and try my hand at making this wonderful pillowcase design.

I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
