Gift season is almost here, so when I found this burlap bow video tutorial by Practically Functional, on YouTube, I was so happy. Bow making is something that hasn’t come easily for me, although I am a very avid crafter. I can sew and quilt, but bows have always seemed a little tricky. I was in Michael’s recently, and I heard a woman requesting one of the staffers to make her a bow, and she was being charged $8 for it! So, making my own bows is defiantly something that I fully intend to master before the holiday season.
In this burlap bow video tutorial by Practically Functional, on YouTube, you will learn how to make this stunning bow in just a matter of minutes. You will start by cutting your sections of burlap according to instructions, and then securing your first folds with a small rubber band.
Then, You will make the bottom bow flag tails separately and attach it with another small rubber band. Then you will make a small finishing cover and secure it with hot glue around the rubber bands.
This bow making idea is so simple and looks fabulous for so many uses. I used it in some garland that I strung along the staircase, and they really added a customized tailored look to the entire Fall display.
