It’s guaranteed effective and can keep a room heated for at least six to nine hours.

Depending on the size of your room, you can make multiple of this DIY to heat your room. And though it’s a safe DIY heating source, it’s important that you only do this in emergencies and you have all the safety stuff in place, such as battery-powered carbon monoxide and fire detector. To start, lay a slate on the ground, then start assembling the Crisco heater over it. Stack three bricks on each side, then bridge it over the top with two more bricks. Once done, place a Crisco candle in the center to finish it off. Make more of these depending on the size of your room.

When you’re ready, light up the Crisco candles to begin heating the room. This will keep the room heated for at least nine hours when there is a power outage.
