Did you know that you can grow potatoes in a laundry bin? Now you do and you gotta try it out yourself! These potatoes are so easy to prepare and the materials are quite inexpensive so don’t worry about spending a lot because you can purchase most of the supplies you’ll need from the nearest Dollar store. Learn how to easily do it step by step through this video tutorial by Wicked SIPPERS TRIPPERS & FLIPPERS on YouTube.
Step 1
Start by drilling a couple or about 4 holes at the bottom of the laundry bin, that should be enough to drain off excess water. Cut the paper bags open, then use some to add a few layers at the bottom of the bin, the sides should also be nicely covered to avoid the soil from seeping out of those gaps in the bin. Pour the potting soil into the bin and it should be around 2 to 3 inches high. Add more layers of the paper bag around if needed.

Step 2
Place 3 pieces of seed potatoes inside the bin with their root or budding sticking up, cut another piece of the paper bag and place it around the side of the bin as you build up the height of the soil. Pour more potting soil inside the bin until it is about 4 inches high, then spread it evenly. Pour some water on the soil to hydrate them, then place them in a nice and warm area, and you’ll see some little greens budding up from the soil.
