You don’t need any other materials for this project aside from the paper napkin. It’s super easy and simple to make–the perfect introduction to napkin folding. Beginners and kids can follow the steps with ease. Placing this on top of your plate can quickly elevate your table setting. You can also use it as a table décor, but it might crumple easily. I suggest using a piece of paper if you plan to use it for a few days so it’s sturdier.
How to Make a Flower Napkin
Step 1:
Open the napkin, so it’s divided into quarters. Take one corner and fold toward the center. The tip should be in the middle. Repeat with the other corners to make a smaller square.
Step 2:
Take one corner again and fold toward the center just like what you did in step 1. Repeat with the other corners.
Step 3:
Flip it over, then repeat the same process of folding toward the center so the tips meet together.
Step 4:
Hold the tips in place with one hand. Work in one corner first. Using your other hand, carefully pull the tip on the bottom upwards to form a petal. See the photo below for reference. Repeat with the other corners.
Step 5:
Hold the center and slightly flip it over, you will see the remaining folds that you made earlier. Carefully pull up each fold so it goes in between the petals.
Step 6:
Press on the middle while carefully pulling each petal up so it forms into a flower and stays in place.
