I know how annoying it can be when your toilet seat keeps moving. It is one of the most used fixtures in our bathrooms, and it’s normal to have this problem after several uses. But don’t you worry! But the question is, where are the screws? You might not see any of them as they are hidden! Once you find them, all you need to do is tighten them with your screwdriver. If this doesn’t work, you need to replace the plugs in the bottom. You can easily find replacements online or in a nearby store. It’s an easy and fast house repair that will stop your toilet seat from being wobbly.

How to Stop Toilet Seat From Moving

Step 1:

Remove the toilet seat. Find the release mechanism. Sometimes there’s going to be a button on the side, on the inside or in the middle, but sometimes there are no button at all and you just need to put a little bit of force to pop it out.

Step 2:

Once the toilet seat is removed, simply remove the caps with a flatted screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the toilet.

Step 3:

Slightly loose both of the screws and rotate them around to make your final adjustments. Place back the toilet seat, close it down, square of to the side and slide it to the front as much as you can. Lift up the toilet seat without moving it from the final position.

Step 4:

Take your screw driver and simply tighten the screws.

If your screw doesn’t tighten up, remove the screw. Once it’s removed, simply put the screw inside the plug and remove it as well. Replace the plug with a new one. Put back your screw driver and tighten it. Make sure it’s repositioned.

Step 5:

Take your toilet seat back off, put your caps back on, then bring it back. Now, it’s tighten.
