You’ll Need:

  • baking soda
  • Dawn dish soap
  • hydrogen peroxide

Directions:

Step 1

To start, remove the mattress pad and all the pillow sheets from your bed. Next, vacuum the entire mattress using your vacuum’s upholstery attachment, ensuring you’re reaching every nook and cranny. After this, spot-clean any stains using one part of Dawn dish soap mixed with two parts hydrogen peroxide.  Just brush this DIY cleaning mixture over any stain, then wipe it off with a damp cloth.

Step 2

Now, sprinkle a good amount of baking soda all over the mattress to deodorize it. Let it sit for four hours (ideally 24 hours). In the meantime, wash your sheets. After four hours, vacuum the baking soda off the mattress, put the newly washed sheets on, and you’re done!
