If you’re new to crochet and can’t decide which project to try, then I highly recommend that you make this maple leaf crochet. Not only is this very simple but the instructions are very detailed, too, so I’m sure that you can perfect this even on your first try. It would also be fun if you make a couple of these in different colors!
Step 1
Work on your maple leaf first, start by chaining 2, then working in continuous rounds, make 6 single crochet in 2 chains from the hook. For round 2, make 2 half double crochet in the 1st stitch, then 2 half double crochet in each stitch around.
Step 2
For round 3, make 2 double crochet in the 1st stitch, then 2 double crochet in each stitch around, and join it with slip stitch to the top of the 1st double crochet. For round 4, skip the 1st stitch, then 7 double crochet in the next, skip the next stitch, and slip stitch in the next.
Step 3
Skip the next stitch, then repeat the process 3 more times. Make 7 double crochet in the next stitch, then skip the next stitch, and slip stitch the next 3 stitches. Proceed to crochet the maple leaf stem, then finish the leaf, and turn it into a coaster. Watch the video for the full tutorial.
