Cleaning and de-fluffing your sewing machine is easier than you think, you don’t need to call up a professional because you can do it yourself even if it’s your first time. Step 1
First, turn off or completely unplug your machine, then remove the top plastic plate, and take out the bobbin. Next, remove the metal plate, then make sure to take out the needle and presser foot as well, and take a picture so you know exactly where to put the piece back later. Take out the shuttle, then use a little brush, and get into every single nook and cranny to clean them out. You can also a vacuum to remove the dirt and collect fluff easier.
Step 2
If your machine requires oiling, then this is the next step that you need to do, but some machines shouldn’t be oiled at all. You can refer to your manual for specific instructions, but if you don’t have one, you can type your sewing machine model into Google, and you might get a copy online.
