Cooking is a constant part of my life and is an activity that I also consider as a hobby, this means that most of my time, I spend in the kitchen. This is why it’s very important for me that I keep my workstation or kitchen area clean, not only because it’s hygienic but also because it largely impacts the quality of the food that I make.

When it comes to cleaning appliances, I prefer methods that don’t use too many chemicals or cleaning products, as much as possible I want them natural and safe. One of my favorite cleaning techniques is the one by Clean With Confidence on YouTube because it doesn’t use any kind of chemicals or cleaning products at all. What you need for this is just plain water and it works so well in just a few minutes!
Step 1
Fill a heat-proof or microwave-safe bowl with water, then put it inside your microwave, and set it on high for about 6 minutes. It will bring the water in the boil to a boil, then it will create steam, and that steam will help loosen up all of the grease, food splatter, and other dirt. After the 6-minute heating time is up, leave the door of the microwave closed, and let it cool down for about 5 minutes.

Step 2
After a few minutes, open the door of the microwave and pull out the bowl, then remove the turntable, and bring it to the sink. Dampen your cleaning cloth, then simply wipe the interior of the microwave clean, and make sure to get to all of the corners. Now, wash the turntable on the sink, then wipe it dry with a paper towel, and put it back inside the microwave. Close the door, then wipe the exterior of the microwave clean as well, and you’re done!
