I had this very same problem with my gorgeous stainless steel pots and pans. and I went searching on the internet for an answer to my dilemma. Ther are several methods of cleaning featured in this video, even a commercial-grade product that was supposed to remove carbon. The verdict, in the end, is that Barkeeper’s friend in the liquid scrub works really well and is very good for semi-light stains and maintenance. For tough baked-on stains, you want to use Easy-Off Oven Cleaner.

- Barkeep’s Friend liquid cleaner
- Easy-Off Oven Cleaner (get the no fume kind)
- A scouring pad
- Plenty of running water
