I can’t think of a better treat this Holiday season than grandma’s rum balls. They are super easy to make, require no baking, and are absolutely addicting. But be careful when you devour these goodies, as the alcohol is not cooked, which can possibly make you a little dizzy. Gift of Hospitality—Vintage Recipes‘ rum balls are also not safe for kids as they contain rum, but you can choose not to include alcohol to make it kid-friendly.

These bite-sized treats are the best treats to make this Christmas. They are sweet, boozy, and rich in flavor! One piece will not be enough for each guest, so make a lot of batches. To make these favorite Holiday treats, you only need 7 ingredients – chocolate chips, chips, white rum, corn syrup, vanilla wafers, walnuts, and granulated sugar. Serve these old-fashioned rum balls at your party, and I am sure they will be a hit.

Place the vanilla wafers in a food processor and crush them into fine crumbs. If you don’t have one, you can place them in a zip lock bag and crush with a rolling pin.
Add the chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after interval, until its melted.
Add the sugar, rum, and corn syrup into the melted chocolate. Stir until well incorporated. Next, fold in the vanilla wafers and nuts. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Once chilled, shape the mixture into 1 inch balls using your hands.
Roll each ball in granulated sugar. You can enjoy them right away or store them in an airtight container.
