I have a feeling fixing a hole in a sweater is one of those universal things that everyone knows how to do. Except me. I cut up a sweater for rags a year ago because it had holes in it, and I didn’t know how to fix it. And I really liked that sweater.

I’m sure we all have our favorite sweaters that get holes in them at one time or another. I know I did and I was sick because I love that sweater. I was so excited when I ran across this tutorial on how to fix it! I tired it and the hole is gone! I was so excited I felt like I got a new sweater! Now when you find a hole in a woolen sweater, it doesn’t mean you need to throw the sweater away.

I couldn’t believe it when I was cruising Pinterest and saw that someone actually embroidered around a hole and made designs! I thought that was brilliant, but I’m too lazy to do something that time consuming!

I went with the fusion method she used in her tutorial and you can’t even tell there was ever a hole there! She does show another method of fixing it with thread, but I thought the fusion stuff she used looked better.

Watch how Professor Pincushion fixes her sweater in this step by step tutorial and you can breath a sigh of relief!

I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
