Sometimes you just stumble upon a project and you know it has to go on your Must–Do list. I knew that I had to make these for my home. They’re the prettiest things I’ve seen in a long time!

I’ve seen variations of these fabric peonies and roses popping up on Pinterest for awhile now… they resonated with me for several reasons.

I’ve made fabric flowers, using the searing with the candle technique and know how quick and easy they are to make. But, the main reason I’m so excited about these flowers was my yearning to have these lovely Peonies in y home.  I live in a climate where Peonies won’t grow. It’s simply too hot for them.

My favorite candles that I burn all the time are peony scent. I see these beautiful flowers everywhere on the internet and they are so lovely. You know how it is when you can’t have something…. it suddenly seems even more appealing. That is how Peonies are for me.

So I discovered this great tutorial for actually making Peonies and began to made a few, then a few more and next I altered the pattern and made them in all different sizes.

It became a growing addiction and I have several vases of these exquisite flowers in my home and I simply adore them!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
