After baking, remove from the oven and let the cakes cool completely before removing from the pans. In the meantime, make the frosting. Add 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 1/2 cup vegetable shortening in a large mixing bowl and cream together using an electric mixer. Next, add 1 jar of marshmallow cream, and continue to mix. After this, gradually add 3 cups of powdered sugar, and once incorporated, add 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream. Continue mixing until smooth and fluffy.
