Materials:

  • Main fabric
  • Minky fabric
  • Wadding fabric
  • Lining fabric
  • Rotary cutter
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Pins
  • Needle and matching thread
  • Sewing machine

Directions:

Step 1

Cut out the main fabric into two pieces of 30*50cm (11.8*19.6″). Place 1 piece of the cutout on top of the Minky fabric, then cut it out the same size as the main fabric on top. Place the other piece of main fabric on top of the lining fabric, then cut it out to the same size. Separate the main from the lining fabric, and then set the lining fabric aside. Cut the main fabric into 40cm long, then fold the fabric down in half, and cut the wadding fabric the same size as the folded fabric.

Step 2

Place the wadding inside the fold, then repeat the process with the smaller fabric that you cut out, these will be the pockets. Topstitch on the folded side of the pockets, then place the pocket in position on the main fabric with a Minky fabric at the back. Place the lining fabric on top with their right sides facing, pin them in place, then sew them together around, but leave a gap for turning. Trim off excess mink, then turn it right side out, tuck the seams, and topstitch. Watch her video tutorial below for more details.
