This do-it-yourself project idea by Star ringDIYideas is so adorable and really easy to make! After watching her video tutorial, I immediately knew that I had to give it a try, and they turned out so cute, even my family thinks so! I might try making a few more soon and try out different designs.
Step 1
Grab the clothes hanger, then cut off each side leaving the center at only about 3 inches wide. Grab a small rectangular piece of paper that is about 3*6 inches, then put a small saucer on top and trace a half arc, and cut it out. Place the paper template on top of the green felt, then cut out two pieces. Trim the arc of the paper template by about ¼ inch, then use this cutout, and trace it onto white felt fabric, cut it out as well. Trace the half arc template on the red felt and cut it out, then cut some small seeds out of black felt. Attach the thin arc cutout piece on top of the half-moon-shaped green felt using hot glue, then attach the red piece under it.

Step 2
Grab the other green piece and find its midpoint, attach the clothes hanger on the straight side of the fabric making sure it’s centered. Attach this at the back of the assembled pieces, then secure them together with hot glue leaving only about an inch of a gap at the bottom. Glue in the black seeds as well, insert fiberfill, then close the gap with hot glue. Cut out a 4*3 inches red felt fabric and set it aside. Then, sew the top of the kitchen towel, and gather them together at the center. Fold the red felt over the seams and attach using hot glue, sew around the sides as well as the bottom to secure. Attach each side of the velcro on the watermelon felt and the towel using hot glue. Now that you know the basics, go on ahead and make different designs!
