  • 2 tsp of instant yeast
  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 3 tbsp of unsalted butter

Cinnamon Butter

  • 1/3 cup of butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp of powdered sugar
  • ¾ tsp of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp of honey

How to Make Texas Roadhouse Rolls:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add the milk, whole egg, sugar or honey, and instant yeast, then whisk everything until well combined, and then add the all-purpose flour and salt. Mix them with a spatula until dough forms, then transfer it to your work surface, and add the unsalted butter.

Step 2

Mix and knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then shape it into a ball, and transfer it to an oiled bowl. Move it around until it’s coated with the oil, then cover it, and let it proof for about 60 to 90 minutes or until it doubles in size.

Step 3

After an hour or so, punch the dough to degas, then transfer it to your work surface, and flatten it with a rolling pin until it becomes a square with approximately 1.5cm or ½ inch thickness.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon powder, and honey until fully combined, then remove the freshly baked rolls from the oven, and brush them with butter at the top. Serve them with the cinnamon butter on the side and enjoy!
